It seems there is never a dull moment here at the Centre, and God is continuing to reveal Himself and change hearts! This week, us staff committed to fasting and praying for the students and for the Thai church, and God is answering!
So basically all of the students come from Buddhist families, so that is something that makes the students afraid to accept Christ. Another girl recently became a Christian, but her parents won't allow her to go to church. The gospel is being spread here at the Centre, but Satan has some strongholds on people. Pray that those would be broken.
So on Monday, Opal, got to share the gospel with a student named Om. Opal has a huge heart for the girls and continually leads girls to Christ and disciples them. It’s very refreshing to see her passion the gospel. So, anyway on Friday Om accepted Christ! So that’s 2 in the past 2 weeks, and now Opal has her hands full disciplining new Christians, while trying to reach out to the non-believers. Pray that God would put someone in Om’s life to disciple her.
Also on Friday I got the opportunity to the share the whole gospel and my testimony with my 6pm class. Their names are Khwan and Best. I think God is working in their lives, because Best said her friend has talked to her about Christianity, and both girls seem to be enjoying hanging out after class and going to evening events. So just as I mentioned above, pray that spiritual strongholds would be broken down and that they would taste and see that the Lord is good!
I will be in Chiang Mai, Thailand from July 12th to August 14th . I will be working with The Centre , an organization that offers English classes to university students with the goal of sharing the gospel to the Thai student community. I will help teach English classes at The Centre in order to build relationships and share the gospel with students who have never heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.
